Striped Sweater For Spring

Hey friends, I hope you are all having a great week! Today I'm sharing one of my favorite striped sweaters for spring.

I love that this sweater is so cute and so easy to wear! I styled it here with these white skinny jeans, but it pairs easily with jeans as well. It's lightweight, so I plan to wear it later on this spring/summer with shorts or capri pants. It comes in a pretty navy/teal color combination as well. Im wearing an XS for size reference and I think it fits true to size. I picked up these flats recently at Designer Shoe Warehouse and they are such a great neutral for spring. I would definitely recommend them, especially for someone with a narrow foot.

I hope you all have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Currently Loving

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a good week. We started out the week with some warmer temps here and it has us all ready for spring! We were able to get outdoors a little bit and it felt so nice, however, that did not last long and now it is back to cold and rain. I have rounded up a few of my current favorites for you today.

sandals: I think these Sorel sandals are adorable and would be a great closet staple.

handbag: I came across this cute tote and it looks like it would match the sandals perfectly! These pieces would go with everything too.

straw tote: How cute is this tote? It would be perfect for the beach!

flutter sleeve top: I'm loving this top and I think it would look great dressed up or down.

Nike pullover: I tried this pullover on in the store and it is really cute, and so soft. I would recommend!

Nike windbreaker jacket: I tried this one on as well and I loved it. It is a very lightweight windbreaker and the back is slightly longer than the front, which I really liked. It comes in several other colors as well.

button up top: I have this top in a different color/pattern and it is a great basic that can be worn in any season.

necklace: I am loving simple, dainty little necklaces and I think this one is really cute!

I hope you all have a great day! As always, thanks for stopping by!

The Perfect Shirt + My Thoughts on Valentine's Day

top/ Nordstrom | earrings/ Kendra Scott | jeans/ Kancan | boots/ Target

Happy Valentine's Day! Do you celebrate Valentine's Day, or is it just another typical day for you? I've heard some people say that it is their favorite holiday and to be quite honest I was just like, "Are you kidding me?" I know that everyone is different and is entitled to their own opinion, but personally I wouldn't even consider it a holiday. I just see it as a day to boost the economy. Joe and I will occasionally go out to dinner to celebrate, but other than that we usually don't buy each other gifts. I personally think you should show your love every day and don't think it is necessary to have one day of the year for celebration.

I will say that when I was younger it would be a goal of mine every year to get a boyfriend by Valentine's Day so I could have my name called on the intercom at school to pick up my Valentine. I'm not sure that I ever received one though. I just think that it is kind of funny looking back because I thought of it as such a big deal, but now days I just think Valentine's Day is completely overrated! What are your thoughts?

This shirt that I am wearing today is called "The Perfect Shirt" and I would have to agree. I feel like this is one that could be worn any season and it is great for layering or worn by itself. It comes in seven different color and pattern options. I would love to add another one to my closet. I am wearing an XS for size reference. I love selecting items that I know I will get a lot of wear out of and I think this top definitely fits the bill!

I hope you all have a great Valentine's Day! Thanks for reading!

Hoosier Heartland Home Tour: Entry + Living Room

Hey everyone! I have been doing a little redecorating in our house lately and I wanted to share our entry and living room with all of you today. We have been in our home for nearly ten years and I feel like it has never been fully decorated. I have a bad habit of decorating a little here and there and never fully finishing everything. It is my current goal to finish decorating everything and to try and leave it, instead of doing small sections at a time and then changing the entire look soon after. Ugh, please tell me that I am not alone with this. Ha ha!

I recently added this new hallway runner that I fell in love with immediately. We already had this small entryway table, so I just changed up some of the decor on it. I added a different lamp and replaced a mirror that was hanging above it with this letter board that I moved from another room. I love decorative baskets so I added this one from Target. I decided to store my Hunter boots in it, which freed up some space in my closet. I love this simple look and hopefully it will be something that we will not get tired of too quickly.

I had originally planned to paint our entire house a light grey color, but recently changed my mind because I knew that would probably lead to new living room furniture, etc. I really wanted to change the look of our home with as little cost as possible. I added a new rug and throw pillows in the living room along with a different table lamp and a framed wall canvas. I will also be adding a wall clock above the love seat. I wanted to keep the look simple and went with all neutral colors. I will be adding white curtains to the living room and I ordered these Ribba frames from IKEA to hang on the side wall. So far I am loving the new look and I think Joe approves as well!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a great day!

Fair Isle Sweater + Ways to Look Put Together With Minimal Effort

Hey everyone! I hope you're all having a great week so far. Today I'm styling this pretty fair isle sweater and the colors have me dreaming of spring! Who else is over the snow and cold temps?

I also have a few tips for you today on ways that you can look pulled together with minimal effort. Read on to find out!

wearing: sweater/ LOFT | scarf/ Target | jeans/ Kancan | boots/ old- similar

So we all love to look like we took some time to get ready without spending forever actually getting ready, right? Here are some ways to look "put together" with little effort.

Wear a bold lipstick to take attention away from your outfit, hair etc. Remember that you might not want to wear too much other makeup though or it might be overkill.

Add jewelry to make it look like you took extra time getting ready and adding the finishing touches.

Match your shoes with your handbag if possible. It doesn't matter what you wear, but if your accessories coordinate it can make you look like you spent extra time planning out your outfit.

Style your hair instead of just pulling it back. I'm guilty of not doing this one enough. It is so easy to just pull your hair back and go.

Buy clothes that hold up. Good quality clothing really can make a difference! I find that sometimes cheaper materials end up shrinking, getting a hole in them, etc. soon after purchasing them. Spending a little extra money is sometimes worth it in the long run.

Fill in your eyebrows. This helps to define your face and can really make a difference in your appearance.

Take care of your nails. This does not necessarly mean spending a lot of money getting your nails done, but just taking the time to clip and file your nails can make a big difference in your appearance.

I hope you liked my tips today. Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!
