Current Faves

Untitled

Makeup Bag: I purchased this bag prior to going on vacation. It is so cute! It is fairly small, but still fits my basic makeup items.

Volcano Candle: I purchased my first Volcano Candle when we were on vacation in Raleigh. Every since then, I was hooked! These candles are a little pricey (I'm kind of tight when it comes to stuff like this), but it smells AMAZING!

Earrings: I am a huge fan of Kendra Scott jewelry! I have several pieces of hers and that is basically all I wear. These Dani earrings are the perfect size for everyday wear. I own these in both black and fuchsia and they go with everything!

Pocket Tee: Since I am a stay at home mom, most days you can find me wearing the most comfortable tee that I can get my hands on. This V neck pocket tee from Target is the best. It is so soft and definitely one of my favs!

Lip Gloss: This Red Apple lip gloss in the color, Diamond Sands is one of my favorites. It is the perfect neutral color. I love Red Apple products because they are made without gluten or any harmful ingredients.

Thanks for reading! Have a great weekend!

All Natural Products for Kids

Untitled

When Adelyn was born, I started doing some research on the products that I was using on her. It was mind boggling to me to find that a lot of the products that I was using contained cancer causing chemicals in them! Her skin is super sensitive and would break out in a rash with the use of certain products. That was when I ditched those products and replaced them with more natural ones. I finally found some great products that I love and wanted to share with you today.

Beauty Counter Sunscreen: link here/ I have tried so many sunscreens on Adelyn. Again, she has such sensitive skin and most sunscreens break her out in a rash. Also, most sunscreens contain oxybenzone, which is a chemical sun blocker. Beauty Counter Sunscreen is great because it uses non nano zinc oxide, which is a safer and more natural alternative.

Tom's of Maine Toothpaste: link here/ This toothpaste is fluoride free, contains no artificial colors or preservatives and is not harmful if swallowed. It is recommended for children ages 3-24 months.

California Baby Calming Everyday Lotion: link here/ This lotion is made for sensitive skin. It is made of essential oils and it is free of gluten, soy, oat, dairy and nuts(except coconuts). It smells great also!

Shea Moisture Baby Extra Mild Wash and Shampoo: link here/ I use this for both a body wash and shampoo for Adelyn. It is gluten free, fragrance free and it has not caused any skin irritation for her.

Honest Wipes: link here/ I like to use these wipes when we are out to clean Adelyn's hands and face. These wipes are plant based and made without alcohol or parabens.

It is a great feeling to know that there are still great quality products out there! Thanks for reading!

Florida Vacation Recap

Untitled

Untitled

We vacationed in Captiva, Florida a couple of weeks ago. We stayed at The Tween Waters Inn. This was our fifth time visiting The Tween. We love The Tween for many reasons and all of the workers are like family to us. They have the cutest little cottages around the property. We have stayed in one before, but chose to stay in a guest suite this time.

Untitled
One reason that we love staying at The Tween is because of their amazing food. They have three restaurants located on their property which makes it very convenient. I think the food at The Tween is some of the best food on the island.

The Tween Waters Inn has a nice large pool, a baby pool and two hot tubs. Their is a poolside bar which offers lunch and a full bar including some of the most amazing frozen drinks ever! The Pina Coladas are the best! There is also a poolside coffee shop which offers coffee drinks, milkshakes and smoothies.

The gulf is just right across the street from The Tween. You can take a walk along the beach or rent a cabana chair for the day. The beach is nice and clean with the most beautiful water! On the opposite side is the bay area. There are kayaks that can be rented out. You will most likely see some manatees.

We mostly hung out around the pool with Adelyn. She loved the water! She was up one morning at 2 am saying pool, pool! We ate a lot of great food and found some pretty shells. It was a fun trip and we can't wait to visit again soon!

We saw some really pretty sunsets too!

Floral Dress

Today I'm styling this floral dress that I wore on vacation in Florida. It is so lightweight and very comfortable. It was perfect for the beach! I have this Fjallraven crossbody pouch in two colors and I love it! It is small and doesn't hold much, but it is perfect if you just need to carry a couple of things.

I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July! We had so many plans, but unfortunately I got sick with either a head cold or sinus infection. Adelyn has been cutting her back molars and has been fussy and running a temperature off and on. So, needless to say things have been a little crazy around here. I will post a recap from our stay in Florida soon. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Red Apple Lipstick

I'm so excited to be teaming up with Red Apple Lipstick today to share two different nude lipsticks. I started using Red Apple products about four years ago when I found out that I had food sensitivities. I happened to stumble across their website online. I took a chance and ordered some lipstick and Rallye balm. As soon as I tried their products, I was hooked! I love knowing that I can wear these products safely without having to worry about any harmful, or cancer causing ingredients. The lipsticks are made without gluten, soy, or allergens and they are vegan. I am very passionate about Red Apple Lipstick's products and want to spread the word on how truly amazing these products are!

Untitled

I love to receive a Red Apple order in the mail. It always comes very neatly packaged in a cute little pouch. They usually include a small sample lipstick as well. I like to give these away, so that others can see for themselves how truly amazing this lipstick is!.

First up is this amazing nude pink color called Oh My Guava. It is such a great neutral! This lipstick does not contain any shimmer. It goes on so smooth and makes your lips feel really hydrated. This lipstick goes with literally everything. Purchase this lipstick here.
