I wore this outfit to dinner over the weekend to celebrate my parents 40th Anniversary. I love to add some leopard accessories to any outfit. The weather was much cooler over the weekend, so this denim shirt was perfect! I have a feeling that it is not going to fit much longer though, because this baby bump is getting bigger by the day! Hope your week has gotten off to a great start. Thank you so much for reading!

We had our 20 week ultrasound today! We found out that we are going to have a baby girl! She was being quite stubborn though. She was curled up in a ball with her legs crossed. We finally got her to move around enough for them to be able to tell the gender. We are very excited! I cannot wait to start working on the nursery! Hope your week is going great! Thanks for reading!

Hope that you are having a great weekend! My husband and I have been doing some furniture shopping for our living room. I am very indecisive and it is so hard for me to decide on furniture that I know I will have to live with for quite some time. I will post pics when it is all finished. This week marks 20 weeks of pregnancy! We will find out what the gender is this week! Eeek! Can't wait!

Simple Sweet Treats For the 4th of July

IMG_3753

Happy 4th of July to all of you! I thought I would share some simple treats that I made for a cookout today.

Oreo Rice Krispie Bars:

You will need: 6 cups of Kellog's Rice Krispies cereal, 1 package (10 oz.) of JET PUFFED marshmellows, 3 tablespoons butter, 10-12 oreos

First, melt the butter in large saucepan. Then, add the marshmellows. Next, add Rice Krispie's cereal and stir until coated. Then, mix in crushed oreos. Using a buttered spatula, press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan coated with cooking spray. Let cool and then cut into small squares and serve.

White Chocolate Coated Blueberry Skewers:

You will need: 2 containers of fresh blueberries, 1 large package of white chocolate squares for baking, bamboo skewers

First, wash blueberries thoroughly. Then, add desired amount of blueberries to skewer (I used about 15-20). Then, melt white chocolate squares on stovetop using a double boiler. Then, take spoon and coat the blueberries. Next, lay the skewers on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Then, put in refrigerator to allow the chocolate to harden and then serve.

It's that easy! Enjoy your weekend and have a safe and happy 4th of July!! Thanks for reading!

wearing: short overalls/ T.J. Maxx, graphic tee/ Maurices- on sale, bracelet/ Francesca's, necklace/ The Buckle- old, clutch/ Ann Taylor similar, shoes/ Kate Spade similar, Lipstick/ Red Apple Vogue

I don't know about you, but I am all ready for the 4th of July! We plan to spend our weekend grilling out, watching fireworks and spending time with friends and family. The weather here is supposed to be perfect, so that is always a plus!

Today, I am wearing these short overalls that I purchased at T.J. Maxx. They are so comfortable, especially with this baby bump. These shoes are Keds by Kate Spade and have been a long time favorite of mine! I purchased this clutch at Ann Taylor when I was in Raleigh. I thought that this would be a cute and casual outfit to wear for the 4th of July weekend. What are your plans for the 4th?
